Role Format
Full Time: Remote, salaried position with travel
Where You’ll Operate
- Southeastern U.S., with a primary focus on Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and South Carolina
- Travel to adjacent regions as business needs arise
- Ideal home base: Atlanta, GA
- Keep analytical and metallographic instruments at peak performance
- Restore down equipment through expert troubleshooting and corrective repairs
- Install new systems, apply updates, and deploy upgrade kits
- Coach users on instrument theory, operation, software, and maintenance
- Document and perform all service in alignment with LECO’s ISO accreditation
- Self-starter mindset and clear written/verbal communication
- Professional conduct and adherence to each customer’s site and safety protocols
- Organized, detail-focused approach to service and documentation
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with AC/DC electronics (or willingness to learn)
- Chemistry or military experience is advantageous
- Regular travel with up to four hotel overnights per week (Mon–Fri)
- Initial 3–5 months of instrumentation training at LECO (St. Joseph, MI)
- Mentored field service training with seasoned engineers across the U.S.
- Annual service training at LECO headquarters
One Or More Required
- Two Year Technical Degree or Trade School
- Prior Military with training in a technical field
- Equivalent work experience or training in a technical field
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Personal credit card or ability to secure one
