Analytical Instrumentation Field Service Specialist

• Full-time, remote, salaried position with frequent travel
• Travel up to 5 days per week; as-needed extended travel
• Primary Midwest territory: Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky; support surrounding regions as needed
• Ideal home base: in/near Lexington, KY, or Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, OH

• Visit customer sites to perform preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs
• Diagnose issues on analytical and metallographic instrumentation and execute corrective actions
• Install new systems and apply updates or upgrade kits
• Train users on theory, software, operation, and best practices for care
• Deliver service that aligns with LECO’s ISO accreditation standards

• Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for 3–5 months
• Shadow and learn alongside experienced field service engineers across the U.S.
• Participate in annual service training at LECO in St. Joseph, Michigan
• Travel most days with up to four overnight hotel stays per week (Monday–Friday)

• Self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision; strong written and verbal communication
• Professional presence; follow customer site rules and safety practices
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Personal credit card or ability to obtain one
• Solid mechanical aptitude; familiarity with AC and DC electronics or willingness to learn
• Chemistry or military background is a plus

• Two Year Technical Degree or Trade School
• Prior Military with training in a technical field
• Equivalent work experience or training in a technical field

• Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction
• Pass a background check and substance abuse screenings
