Role Snapshot- Full-time, remote, salaried position with frequent travel
- Travel up to 5 days per week; as-needed extended travel
- Primary Midwest territory: Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky; support surrounding regions as needed
- Ideal home base: in/near Lexington, KY, or Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, OH
- Visit customer sites to perform preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs
- Diagnose issues on analytical and metallographic instrumentation and execute corrective actions
- Install new systems and apply updates or upgrade kits
- Train users on theory, software, operation, and best practices for care
- Deliver service that aligns with LECO’s ISO accreditation standards
- Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for 3–5 months
- Shadow and learn alongside experienced field service engineers across the U.S.
- Participate in annual service training at LECO in St. Joseph, Michigan
- Travel most days with up to four overnight hotel stays per week (Monday–Friday)
- Self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision; strong written and verbal communication
- Professional presence; follow customer site rules and safety practices
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Personal credit card or ability to obtain one
- Solid mechanical aptitude; familiarity with AC and DC electronics or willingness to learn
- Chemistry or military background is a plus
- Two Year Technical Degree or Trade School
- Prior Military with training in a technical field
- Equivalent work experience or training in a technical field
- Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction
- Pass a background check and substance abuse screenings
