Position Overview
The Director of Sales- Annuity/Life at LeClair is responsible for driving annuity and Life Insurance growth across our national agent and partner network by providing expert case design, training, and relationship-focused sales support. This role plays a central part in strengthening LeClair’s position as a trusted resource for independent advisors by delivering best-in-class annuity and life insurance guidance, competitive analysis, and personalized sales strategies.
The Director of Sales- Annuity/Life collaborates closely with internal teams and external distribution partners to expand annuity and life insurance production and ensure advisors receive the support they need to serve clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Business Development
- Develop and execute a territory or channel-specific strategy to grow annuity and life production across LeClair’s independent agent and agency partners.
- Conduct proactive outreach to build strong advisor relationships and uncover new sales opportunities.
- Promote LeClair’s portfolio of fixed, fixed indexed, MYGA, and various life solutions aligned with client retirement needs.
- Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets and activity metrics.
Advisor Training & Product Expertise
- Serve as LeClair’s subject-matter expert for annuity and life insurance product lines, rate updates, product design, and compliance considerations.
- Deliver ongoing product and concept training via calls, webinars, workshops, and agency presentations.
- Assist advisors with illustrations, case design, client positioning, and suitability considerations.
- Stay current on competitor offerings and industry trends to guide advisor strategy and product selection.
Relationship Management
- Strengthen advisor loyalty through responsive, high-touch support and partnership.
- Identify and engage high-potential producers to deepen adoption of LeClair’s annuity resources and support model.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams—Medicare, support, and operations—to ensure advisors experience seamless service.
Case Support & Pipeline Management
- Maintain a proactive pipeline and track sales activity through LeClair CRM systems.
- Provide leadership with regular insights on production trends, opportunities, and competitive intelligence.
- Assist with case escalations and serve as a liaison with carriers to ensure timely resolution and positive advisor experiences.
Marketing & Campaign Collaboration
- Partner with LeClair Marketing to develop annuity and life-focused campaigns, training materials, and field communications.
- Contribute to the creation of educational content, sales concepts, and tools that elevate advisor engagement and confidence.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field—or equivalent industry experience.
- 1 years of annuity and life sales experience, preferably within independent distribution or brokerage.
- Deep knowledge of fixed, indexed annuity markets, life product mechanics, and compliance landscape.
- Proven success in a sales or wholesaling environment with measurable production results.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Active Life/Annuities insurance license (or ability to obtain promptly).
Preferred
- Experience working with IMOs, FMOs, BGAs, or independent financial advisors.
- Established relationships with key carriers and field partners.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and remote presentation tools.
- Professional designations (CLU, ChFC, RICP, CFP) are a plus.
- FINRA Series 6 and 63 Designation.
