Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Bartender with young energy to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment for a small Contemporary American cuisine in LES. As a Server/Bartender, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Ideal candidates will have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine casual environments with social model.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring accuracy in order delivery.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout the shift.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage Toast system.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Adhere to food safety standards and sanitation practices at all times.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy restaurant environment.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. During the slow day that you will stand alone.
- Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards.
- Engage with customers to provide a memorable experience, including recommending drinks and answering questions about the menu.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine causal dining experience being a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively.
- Familiarity with Toast systems is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial for understanding menu items.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience as a host/host or in guest relations can enhance your candidacy.
