Job Description:
Project Manager
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of small to midsize projects with 1 to 3 team members. This may include field forces, tradesmen, foremen, other trades, and subcontractors/suppliers.
Key responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and directing the efficient use of labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors/suppliers to secure safe, high-quality construction at minimum cost.
Maintaining daily communications with project managers regarding job status, including significant changes required in the scope of work and subsequent change orders.
Coordinating and participating in pre-construction, construction, and post-construction assignments.
Overseeing the effectiveness and evaluating the performance of project foremen and their crews.
Ensuring that all required paperwork is filled out accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Following and implementing company safety programs.
Maintaining excellent working relationships with owners, construction managers, architects, and engineers.
Communicating effectively with other management staff, encouraging communication and ideas from crews and foremen through weekly/daily meetings.
Reviewing job costs and schedule status with Project Manager on a weekly basis.
Constantly maintaining As-Built Drawings and other project close-out requirements throughout construction.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent education required; vocational and/or college degree in relevant field strongly preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.
- Technical, mechanical, electrical, communication, and leadership training preferred.
- Skills/Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in Microsoft Office and other construction-related software; in-depth understanding of construction operations and processes; excellent organizational and time-management skills.
