Senior Site Manager – Mining & Land Development

Position Overview
Florida Fill Dirt (Lecanto Sand Mine and Centralia Sand LLC) is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee multiple active mining and land development sites across Citrus and Hernando Counties, Florida. This leadership role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all assigned sites, ensuring production goals, environmental standards, and development timelines are met.
The ideal candidate will bring strong operational leadership, hands-on experience in mining and land development, and the ability to successfully manage multiple locations and teams.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of multiple mining and land development sites
Lead, mentor, and manage shirt supervisors, equipment operators, and support staff
Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, DEP, county, and state regulations
Coordinate site planning, production schedules, and land development activities
Monitor budgets, costs, and operational efficiency
Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, environmental consultants, and contractors
Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings
Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of heavy equipment
Prepare reports on production, safety, compliance, and site performance
Serve as the primary point of contact for inspections and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in mining, land development, or heavy civil operations
Experience managing multiple sites preferred
Strong knowledge of Florida mining and land development regulations
Proven leadership and team management skills
Ability to read and interpret site plans, permits, and engineering documents
Strong organizational and communication skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites
Preferred Experience
Sand, limestone, aggregate, or surface mining
Land reclamation and environmental compliance
Budget management and cost control
Experience working with county and regulatory authorities
