Summary/Objective
This position works collaboratively with the accounting and production teams of the organization, specifically for purchasing equipment and parts.
Essential Functions
- Works collaboratively with members of the accounting and production teams and coordinates with other departments as assigned.
- Understands the full scope of the organization and is able to execute with or without supervision.
- Ability to communicate professionally and knowledgeably with all company personnel, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to operate computer systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Understands coding system, account numbers, and other numbering sequences.
- Analyzes, researches and purchases material, parts and equipment needed for production.
- Issues purchase orders to vendors.
- Receives purchase orders to accounting software system.
- Coordinates and assists with logistics both internationally and domestically.
- Oversees and assists with purchases made by others.
- Answers multi-line phone system and routes calls to appropriate parties.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, but are subject to change. This position may require long hours and weekend work in order to meet business needs.
Travel
Travel is normally not required, but may be necessary for special projects.
Required Education, Certificates and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Some experience in purchasing
Preferred Education and Experience
Some university or technical college education in accounting
3-5 years’ experience in purchasing or accounting
