Purpose of Job:
To assist and support the Technology department in implementing the system and school technology plans
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned as needed.
General Responsibilities/Essential Functions (All Support Personnel):
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to coordinate the timely completion of all technology tasks to ensure the orderly operation of the Lebanon Special School District
- Work in close conjunction with other technology staff to solve problems/support users with technology and technology related instruction
- Assist the Network Administrator in the maintenance of the network and systems as needed
- Assist, as needed, with implementation of district standards for hardware purchases, local area networking (LAN’s) and wide area networking (WAN’s)
- Assist with phone, camera, and intercom installation and troubleshooting
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations, and standards of quality and safety
- Assist, as needed, with special events
- Ensure that the use of the district’s resources (time, money, people) are used in the most strategic and effective way possible
IT Technician I (Additional Responsibilities/Functions)
- Responsible for routine pick up and repair of student/staff chrome books to ensure continual efficient operation of district devices
- Assist with new device setup as directed
- Support Technology team in responding to district technology issues through ticketing system
IT Technician II (Additional Responsibilities/Functions)
- Assist the Technology department in ensuring that day-to-day operations of technology and telecommunication devices are functional in order to meet district needs
- Assist the Technology department to provide system-wide hardware, software, server, network, internet, and phone troubleshooting and support
- Collaborate with Director of Operations to ensure proper access control for staff
- Respond to emergency situations as needed for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Project a positive image of the LSSD at all times and support district goals
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of district information
- Support the effective delivery of a high quality of education for all students
- Provide exceptional levels of professional support and service to staff and public
- May operate a motor vehicle to conduct various work activities
- Successful completion of Criminal Justice fingerprint/background process and drug screen

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Technical training, certification, or Bachelors Degree
- Working knowledge of both Macintosh and Windows Operating Systems
- Proven record of achievements related to the field of technology
- Two years experience in the help desk/end user field preferred
- Service oriented
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director of Operations or Director of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable
Abilities/Physical Requirements
- Able to work from ladders as needed
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Able to reach with hands and arms, climb and balance, stoop, crouch or crawl and able to regularly use hands and fingers to handle/operate office equipment.
