Position Summary
A Pennsylvania school district is seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction, develop and implement IEPs, and support students in inclusive and specialized settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction aligned with PA standards and district curriculum.
- Develop and implement IEPs, ERs, and progress monitoring in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Provide small-group and individualized instruction.
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and communicate with parents and staff.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
- Conduct FBAs and develop behavior support plans as needed.
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification required.
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and inclusive practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the building and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and adherence to district policies.
- Other duties as assigned by administration.
