Autistic Support - Paraprofessional

As a paraprofessional, you’ll encourage young learners, support teachers, and help students feel seen and capable—whether you’re guiding them through a lesson or just offering a smile when they need it. You’ll bring patience, kindness, and a steady presence to every day.

What Success Looks Like:

• Students feel supported, safe, and included in the classroom
• Kids make progress in their learning and try new things with your encouragement
• Teachers trust and rely on you for daily support
• The classroom is a smoother, more positive place because of your presence
• By year’s end, students are more confident—and you know you helped them get there

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have an associate degree, 48 college credits or successfully pass a rigorous test approved by the PA Dept of Education
• The following background clearances are required: Act 151, Act 34, Act 24, and IdentoGO FBI clearance
• Experience working with children preferred, but not required
• Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently

Work environment:

The work environment is lively and hands-on. You’ll spend your day in classrooms and hallways always moving and interacting with students and staff.
