Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Houseman / Public Area Attendant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our hotel. This role supports the housekeeping team by ensuring public spaces, back-of-house areas, and guest-request items are handled efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public areas including lobby, hallways, restrooms, fitness center, and exterior grounds
- Assist housekeeping staff by delivering linens, towels, and supplies as needed
- Respond promptly to guest requests (extra amenities, trash removal, etc.)
- Remove trash and recyclables from public areas and service areas
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and glass cleaning
- Help with room inspections and light housekeeping duties when needed
- Ensure housekeeping closets and storage areas are organized and fully stocked
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous hotel or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be dependable and punctual
