Job Summary

Leavitt Partners, an HMA company, is seeking current or recent graduate students for our 2026 Spring Fellowship program with Leavitt Partners Collaborative Advocates. This is a 12-week program that will run during the Spring semester between January and May 2026 (with some flexibility on start date). Applications will be reviewed and interviews conducted on a rolling basis through November 15, 2025. Part-time opportunity available as well.

The ideal candidate will be interested in some of the following areas: Medicare, Medicaid, ACA Marketplace, value-based payment, FDA and life sciences, public health, digital health and health IT, and health care reform. The Fellow will support client public policy and alliance work by performing comprehensive online, primary source, and direct-to-source (i.e., agency, congressional, private-sector) research, and by conveying findings to Leavitt Partners Collaborative Advocates team members. The Fellow will assist senior team members with task tracking, document preparation, and other tasks to support client management.

Responsibilities

Work Performed and Job Requirements

  • Summarize written research and prepare verbal briefings and presentations for client managers
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, client-ready work
  • Monitor and identify policy, legislative, and regulatory developments relevant to clients
  • Develop web content for clients and assist managers with client engagements
  • Perform secondary research and participate in directed primary research
  • Gain knowledge of Leavitt Partners products
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education/Training

Law school student, graduate student or recent graduate degree in MHA, MBA, public health, health law, public policy, political science, or related fields

Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Experience in professional research and analysis preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in health policy preferred


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Excellent research and analysis skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to summarize and brief staff on research
  • Commitment to developing subject matter competence in two or more issue areas (CMS reimbursement, FDA regulation, public health, health IT research, and health care reform)
