Summer School Student Intern
Description:
The Leavenworth School District’s is offering a paid internship program for high school students considering a career in education. This opportunity will give a real-world perspective upon which to base future career choices and enhance classroom experience. This is an ideal work experience for those interested in learning more about instructional practices, and classroom management.
Program Details
- Work Times: Flexilbe based on student current schedule
- Locations: Lawson, David Brewer, Henry Leavenworth, Anthony Elementary
Program Requirements
- Assist with the implementation of curriculum for the Summer Program.
- Work with the Program Admin Intern, Certified Teachers, and USD 453 Administrative Team to implement programming.
- Participate in related trainings
- Address individual children’s instructional needs.
- Assist in administering pre- and post-assessments in order to measure student progress and program effectiveness.
- Assist in monitoring breakfast and lunch programs.
Compensation
Interns will be paid at the rate of $12.50/hour. All employees are required to fill out time sheets for summer duties.
