The Provider Recruiting Lead is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), with potential scope expansion to include LCSWs, Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists as our client organization grows. This role owns the entire candidate journey, from sourcing and pipeline development through offer negotiation and onboarding coordination, ensuring an exceptional experience at every stage.
The Provider Recruiting Lead serves as a strategic partner to clinical and operational leadership, driving recruitment initiatives that support multi-site expansion, patient access, and workforce quality. This position requires up to 20% travel. You will play a meaningful role in building the clinical team that defines our care model as we grow across multiple states and practice sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruitment
Manage end-to-end recruitment for Physicians and APPs across all active requisitions. Lead sourcing, screening, interviews, onsite visit coordination, and employment agreement negotiation. Develop and maintain a strong candidate pipeline to meet current and anticipated hiring needs. Identify candidates who are well-suited not only for the role, but for the practice culture, location, and community. Present qualified candidates to leadership with clear summaries and recommendations.
Sourcing and Outreach
Build and manage a multi-channel sourcing strategy using platforms such as PracticeLink, DocCafe, Doximity, LinkedIn, and internal referrals. Cultivate relationships with residency and fellowship programs to support early-career pipelines. Ensure all outreach reflects the organization's mission, values, and employer brand.
Candidate Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the process. Provide timely communication, interview preparation, and consistent follow-up. Coordinate and participate in onsite visits, building genuine connections with candidates and their families. Prepare offer documents and employment agreements using company templates, and negotiate effectively to close top candidates. Partner with internal teams on relocation logistics, credentialing, and onboarding.
Stakeholder Partnership
Work closely with clinical leadership, operations, HR, and credentialing teams to align on priorities and search progress. Provide regular updates on pipeline status, market conditions, and candidate feedback. Advise leadership on recruitment strategy, realistic timelines, and competitive compensation positioning.
Process and Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the applicant tracking system. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, employment laws, and industry standards. Track key recruitment metrics and contribute to ongoing process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years in healthcare or clinical settings
- Demonstrated success recruiting physicians, nurse practitioners, and other licensed providers
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting across multiple simultaneous requisitions
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with candidates, families, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (Paylocity) and clinical sourcing platforms (PracticeLink, DocCafe, Doximity)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting in pediatrics, primary care, or multi-site medical practices
- Familiarity with provider credentialing processes and healthcare compliance requirements
- Working knowledge of physician labor market trends and hiring dynamics
