What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Growth Manager position at Leash - Driving Pets Daily?
Location: Omaha
Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Industry: Pet Tech
Travel: 30%, regional trips and overnight stays
Leash is looking for a Regional Growth Manager responsible for launching and growing new markets in the Southeast United States. This position is for someone who wants to join a proven startup that is ready to scale quickly and sustainably.
So what is Leash?
Leash is building the transportation layer for the pet care industry. That’s a fancy way to say: We’re a rideshare service for your dog (or cat). We provide the platform and logistical orchestration that enables pet care businesses to offer pet pick-up and drop-off services. This way they don’t have to worry about the cost or complexity of managing vehicles or staff. Because we go to market through dog daycares, groomers, vets, etc., building and nurturing these relationships is a key component to making Leash work.
Is this legit?
Long story short, we’ve been operating since 2020 and have expanded to 4 markets. Leash is fully operational with a fleet of drivers, host of partners, and core group of employees. We are venture backed and have a history of success. Now we are growing because cities like Tampa, Miami, and Atlanta have a need for pet transportation.
How do you fit?
As the Regional Growth Manager, you’ll be responsible for the most important function at Leash: Developing partnerships with pet care partners. You won’t just be making a sale and saying “bye.” You’ll be responsible for ensuring our partners are set up for long-term success because at the end of the day, we are transporting family. Trust goes a long way!
Your responsibilities:
- Launch new markets and help them thrive, from first plans to post-launch buzz.
- Identify and bring amazing pet care businesses onto Leash.
- Build genuine relationships and become the person partners email when they need anything.
- Be on the ground during launch week to get partners set up and feeling confident.
- Dream up and execute fun, local marketing moments with partners.
- Stay tight with internal teams so nothing slips and feedback actually goes somewhere.
- Keep a close eye on partner engagement and speak up when something could be better.
- Notice a gap or a better way to do things? Take the lead and make it happen.
What you bring:
- You are excited about working at a startup. Our systems and processes aren’t perfect, but this means you can help shape where we’re going.
- You have 1-3 years of experience in business development, partnerships, territory management, or similar client facing roles.
- You are a natural communicator who can connect with anyone from owners to frontline staff.
- You are organized enough to juggle multiple markets without dropping the ball.
- You are up for regional travel about one week each month.
- You love pets, or at least really like being around people who do.
Pay & benefits:
- High base salary ~ $60k
- Annual company bonus
- Equity
- Monthly healthcare stipend
Applicants for this job posting must reside in Omaha, NE.
