As of September 11th, a prominent law firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of legal ethics and conflicts partnered with a professional sense of responsibility. The position will involve:
- Overseeing the prompt evaluation, determination, and resolution of potential conflicts of interests.
- Advising the Chief Operating Officer, Partners, Associates, Paralegals, and other support staff on related procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Drafting documents such as waiver agreements, ethical walls, and screening memoranda.
- Handling risk management initiatives and documenting internal procedures.
- Supporting lateral attorney and new client onboarding with regard to conflicts matters.
Requirements:
- J.D.; 5 years of conflicts or compliance experience in a law firm setting.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to establish positive rapport with attorneys and firm leadership.
- Strong research, problem-resolution, and analytical thinking abilities.
- Well-versed in conflicts best practices and have a proactive work ethic.
