What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at LearnWell?

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.
Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our Columbus, OH team for the remainder of the 25-26 school year. This unique position will involve providing academic support for 6-17 year old patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.
Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday 7:30-4 or 8-4:30 (depending on candidate preference).
Qualifications:- B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Ohio teaching license
- Comfortable working with K-12 students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
- Reliable Transportation
