What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time LBS1 Teacher position at LearnWell?

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative LBS1 teacher to join our team in Chicago, IL on a part-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in fast-paced behavioral health in patient facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 14 to 16 school-age patients at any one time.
Position entails a 20-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 10:30am-2:30pm. Qualifications:- B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Illinois LBS1 teaching license
- Comfortable working with K-12 students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
- Reliable Transportation
