Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Columbus, OH on a year round basis. This unique position will involve working in residential behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.
Position entails a year round, 30-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 8am-2pm. We offer a very generous package of paid time off including vacation time, sick time, federal holidays, and paid school breaks. We also offer healthcare benefits that include medical, dental, and vision. Qualifications
- B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Active Ohio teaching license required; substitute licenses will not be considered.
- Comfortable working with 7th -12th grade students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
- Reliable Transportation
