We are looking for a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented Curriculum Development Manager (CDM) to lead and manage a team of technical and non-technical curriculum developers, instructional designers, and technical lab developers, who are building technical curriculum portfolio for Entry level Cloud builders from a variety of backgrounds.
This role requires excellent program/project management skills, strategic thinking, problem solving skills, and excellent communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter with a strong bias for action and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will also have experience in training, instructional design or technical documentation, technical knowledge of IT domains, and experience in transforming technical information into professional engaging content. Outstanding business acumen and judgment, and bias toward data driven decision making are also required. Above all, a passion for learning and contributing to team and customer success is expected.
Key job responsibilities:
- This position will be responsible for leading teams to build new curriculum content. Some offerings are part of larger specialty programs designed for specific learner audiences. You will have the opportunity to help define and execute the strategy for these programs.
- Manage a high performing direct team of technical curriculum developers and instructional designers, working on projects to build high quality learning content that prepares learners for solutions-focused roles. Curriculum may include structured, formal classroom learning, online synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, and hands-on labs.
- Work with Product Management to prioritize and deliver on the curriculum roadmap.
- Communicate with the Publishing, Marketing, Engineering, Training Delivery, and Sales teams regarding project status and timelines.
- Work with project/program management to maintain a dashboard of all project statuses, completion goals, backlog items, and metric tracking for visibility across the organization.
- Provide stakeholder and team communication across all projects.
- Identify process improvement strategies to expedite the production of technical training curricula or improve the quality of materials being delivered.
- Accelerate the shift to a rapid content development strategy by leveraging agile development methods.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical industry work experience. Ideal areas of study include Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering.
- 5 years in people management with experience managing and developing a diverse, geographically dispersed team, with a demonstrated ability to attract, challenge and develop people, including experience with hiring and managing employee performance.
- 5 years in project, program or product management with focus on technical education programs including course development or instructional design with a software technology company.
- Prior experience designing, deploying, and operating Internet scale applications.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and distributed computing at a high level and relate back to curriculum development.
- Operations management experience in a ticket-driven workload.
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services.
- Ability to manage ambiguous multiple concurrent projects, identify and solve blockers, work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Scrum Master certification
- Professional AWS technical certification

Salary : $91,500 - $116,000
