What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Learning Zone?
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supports and implements individualized patient care plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT provides direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions designed to increase socially appropriate replacement behaviors and improve clients’ communication, social interaction, adaptive, and problem-solving skills.
This position is a W-2 employee role, not an independent contractor position.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct one-on-one behavioral therapy services to clients.
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) methodologies.
- Accurately observe, collect, and record client data through approved ABA data systems.
- Follow individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA under regular supervision.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training as required.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all clients during therapy sessions, including appropriate response during crisis or emergency situations.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and team members.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.
