Role Description
This is a temporary full-time on-site role for an Occupational Therapist at Learning Prep School, located in West Newton, MA. The Occupational Therapist will provide therapeutic support to students with language-based and other learning disabilities, working closely with teaching faculty and other specialists. Responsibilities include assessing students' needs, planning and implementing individualized therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure student success in their academic and personal development.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Occupational Therapy, with experience in implementing therapeutic strategies and interventions
- Knowledge of Medicine and Rehabilitation as they relate to supporting students with language and learning disabilities
- Experience working with Pediatrics and understanding the developmental needs of children and adolescents
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field, with current licensure in the state of Massachusetts
- Demonstrated experience in educational or therapeutic settings is a plus
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to supporting student growth and learning
