Learning Prep School in West Newton, MA is seeking a Part-Time Assistive Technology Specialist to join our faculty beginning August 24, 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team of highly qualified special education professionals dedicated to supporting students with language-based learning disabilities and complex learning profiles.
The Assistive Technology Specialist provides direct instruction and consultation for students with assistive technology needs. This role supports the implementation of assistive technology evaluations and recommendations, trains students, parents, and staff in designated assistive technology programs, contributes written input for IEP meetings, maintains service documentation, and collaborates with school teams to support student access and progress.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Assistive Technology Certification preferred
- Three or more years of relevant experience preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working with students with learning disabilities and/or special education populations
Our students have complex learning needs and we are committed to providing them with the education they deserve!
