Learning Land Education Center and Clubhouse is looking for a Team Lead staff member to help with cooking, office duties, and substitute teaching.
Support is needed for approximately FOUR months (March-July) *This could easily turn into a permanent position. Can discuss in interview.
Position Title: Child Care Center / Daycare Support
Learning Land Education Center: We are located in the Kent-East Hill neighborhood close to Lake Meridian and the City of Covington, WA. The center provides care and high-quality programming for children in developmentally appropriate classrooms for children aged 4 weeks thru 12 years old. We are committed to a culturally relevant anti-bias approach in all aspects of the program.
We are looking for a dedicated, creative professional to work 9-6pm Monday-Friday to assist the Director in the operation of the center for approximately four months
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The prime responsibility for this position is to assist the director with the ongoing operation of the program, wherever help is needed, including cooking, teaching, driving the van, and office work. These activities are carried out under the oversight of the Director. This position is only in effect during the time that it is needed, while multiple staff members are out on maternity leave.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- 1-3 years of experience working with young children in a childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood educational theory and practices, as well as appropriate childcare practices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills: Windows, Microsoft Suite, Gmail
- Sensitive, impartial, and friendly approach to families, children, and staff
- Having and using a calm attitude
- Dependability
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, multi-tasker with the ability to work unsupervised pitching in as needed to assist other staff members
- Being cooperative and flexible
- Ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
