- Education & Certification:
- Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Completion of a State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers, with daily implementation supported by the Director/Assistant Director.
- Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience working with young children, demonstrating effective classroom management through positive redirection, problem solving, setting appropriate limits, and active listening.
- Ability to develop, implement, and assess a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters intellectual, social-emotional, physical, and language growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships with families and collaborate with colleagues.
