What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher (Preschool) position at Learning Employment Assistance Partnership (L.E.A.P.)?

As an Assistant Teacher you will:
- Be an essential part of a 3 person classroom teaching team.
- Assist in the development and delivery of lessons that are in accordance with the program’s curriculum
- Create positive, child-directed learning environments
- Observe and record an assessment of children’s growth, development, and behavior
- Work in a family atmosphere, as part of a team that goes above and beyond for each other and the children we serve
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years working with young children, preferably in a preschool setting.
- A valid driver's license.
- An understanding of young children and low-income families, and an appreciation of parents as the primary educators of their children
Additional requirements:
- A minimum IT/Preschool CDA, associate degree in early childhood education, or associate with related coursework in early childhood development

Salary: $19.50/hr - $21.50/hr based on qualifications. Hours per week: 35 Weeks per Year:44
