Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and educational goals
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Manage classroom activities to ensure safety, engagement, and effective learning experiences
- Support children with special needs through early intervention strategies and individualized attention
- Incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and other foundational skills into daily activities
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote good conduct and conflict resolution among children
- Conduct assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods when applicable
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and lesson plans
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, classroom management, and childcare best practices
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education principles
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques such as Montessori methods or play-based
- Familiarity with special education needs, behavior management strategies, and early intervention programs
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and developmental stages
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred but not required
- Experience with literacy education, math instruction, physical education, or tutoring is advantageous
