Hours: 7:45am to 5:15 pm, M,-F (one hour lunch break from 12-1). We are looking for an energetic new teacher who enjoys playing with kids. This includes teaching good habits and contributing to a fun, flexible play structure. As a caregiver at Learning Blocks Daycare, you will be responsible for promoting successful interactions between children in a very social setting. You must be able to get up and down stairs, lift up to 30 lbs, and spend a good portion of the day on your feet. You will coordinate with the other teachers and help establish routine for the children. For this role, we need someone who is motivated and aware of what is going on around them at all times. When dealing with children, we want to see patience, as well as the ability to stay calm. Your goal should be building relationship skills and confidence in our sweet children. Ultimately, you should help the children feel safe and welcome at our daycare, be friendly and professional with their parents, and help keep the facility well maintained and clean.
Responsibilities:
- Encourage a climate of respect and fairness and the development of self-respect
- ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE with children as much as possible.
- Oversee the children's use of facility, grounds and equipment.
- Be consistent in your disciplining.
- Foster positive relationships with the daycare children and parents
- Daily transportation, meals, activities, and diapering
You will be working with a group of up to 20 kids (along side another teacher) age ranging from 3m-12yrs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
