Whizara is looking for energetic and dependable ASL Instructors to lead engaging, in-person after-school classes for K–12 students. This is a meaningful opportunity to introduce children to American Sign Language and Deaf culture — with curriculum and lesson plans provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach interactive ASL lessons using our ready-to-go curriculum
- Build a fun, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Adapt instruction to different ages and learning styles
- Manage classroom behavior and keep students engaged
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and operations staff
- Provide brief updates on student participation and progress
- Arrive on time and prepared to teach each session
Qualifications
- Friendly, patient, and passionate about ASL and education
- Proficient in American Sign Language (beginner to advanced welcome)
- Enjoys working with K–12 students
- Dependable and professional
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus (not required)
- Reliable transportation to Oakland, CA 94618
- Able to work 1 hour per week for after school class
