The Student Support Services (SSS) Staffing Specialist works collaboratively with LEARN Human Resources to ensure smooth procedures for SSS hiring processes. The Student Support Services (SSS) Staffing Specialist is co-evaluated by the Deputy Executive Director and the Director of Human Resources.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage the logistics of SSS hiring processes in collaboration with LEARN Human Resources including preparing postings, monitoring platforms for candidates, maintaining systems for candidate and process tracking from recruitment to onboarding.
- Implement independently needed SSS organizational and procedural systems within the department.
- Prepare data for inclusion in federal, state and/or agency reports, as required by SSS or requested by Human Resources.
- Engage in SSS data analysis by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Complete special projects as assigned, which may include clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information.
- Work easily with people and be able to communicate well with the public.
- Responsible for maintaining and communicating statistical information on all SSS personnel and assist, as requested, with the preparation of reports to the SDE, DOL, and other agencies.
- Participate as needed in revising and maintaining LEARN policy manual, particularly as it relates to HR issues that may be unique to SSS.
- Collaborate with the LEARN Human Resources Workers Compensation Coordinator to share documentation related to SSS staff with workers’ compensation injuries.
- Participate in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations to update job knowledge.
- Represent SSS and attend job fairs and recruitment events that support attracting and hiring qualified candidates.
- Assist SSS office staff with other related duties such as time and attendance and/or absence letters.
- Perform all other tasks appropriately assigned directly or indirectly by the Deputy Executive Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- General office experience.
- Well organized.
- Possess effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate effective writing skills.
- Human Resource experience preferred.
