Intervention Specialist - LEARN

We are hiring multiple Intervention Specialists across the following four (4) sites:

Our students with autism and developmental disabilities learn in highly individualized programs designed to build communication, independence, social connection, self-determination, and lifelong success.

The Friendship School (TFS) is LEARN’s national recognized early childhood magnet school built around a unique museum-based approach to learning. Staff here are drawn to our collaborative culture, commitment to continuous improvement, and believe that every child deserves engaging, joyful, and inclusive learning experience.

In this position you will provide individualized student support to help students build the skills they need to thrive academically and socially. Here, you will be an essential member of a collaborative team supporting students from Pre-K through Grade 1. Intervention Specialist - The Friendship School

The Regional Multicultural Magnet School (RMMS) is LEARN’s project-based learning magnet school with a diverse, inclusive learning environment committed to academic excellence, belonging, and whole-child development. Staff here work collaboratively to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive. If you are passionate about making a difference, fostering student growth, and collaborating with educators and families, RMMS is the place for you to support students in Grade 2 through 7.

In this position, you will help students build academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and executive functioning skills that they need to become confident, successful learners. This is more than a support role, it is an opportunity to help students overcome challenges, build confidence, strengthen their essential skills, and experience success both in and beyond the classroom. At the LEARN Transition Academy (LTA), we believe every young adult deserves the opportunity to live, work, learn, and participate as independently as possible in their community. Our transition program services students ages 18-22 through individualized instruction focused on employment readiness, independent living, self-advocacy, communication, and meaningful community engagement.

In this position you will help young adults build the necessary skills for employment, independent living, community participation, and lifelong success. At LTA your role will be dynamic and community based where learning takes place in workplaces, recreation programs, volunteer sites, colleges, business, and community settings throughout southeastern Connecticut.
