About the Role:
Learn & Grow Child Development Center in New Haven, KY is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Floater/Support Staff member to join our team! In this dynamic role, you'll play a vital part in supporting our classrooms and staff to ensure every child receives the best care and attention possible.
Responsibilities:
- Float between classrooms to provide coverage and support to lead teachers as needed
- Assist with supervision and engagement of children in daily activities and play
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Support staff during transitions, meals, nap time, and outdoor play
- Follow all childcare policies, procedures, and licensing regulations
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members
- Assist with classroom preparation and age-appropriate learning activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in childcare, early childhood education, or a related field preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in multiple classroom settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be reliable, flexible, and dependable
- Ability to pass a background check as required by state licensing
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
