Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education principles and developmental milestones.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive social interactions.
- Supervise and engage with children during activities, playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor excursions to ensure safety and active participation.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies that support emotional regulation and social skills.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and daily activities in compliance with licensing standards.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed diligently; administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing inclusive teaching strategies and working closely with specialists when required.
- Assist in the setup of classroom materials and learning centers that stimulate creativity and exploration.
- Uphold all childcare regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies to ensure a secure learning environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in preschool settings or daycare environments is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages, early childhood education best practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs and developmental levels.
