Job Title: RN – Long Term Care
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Shift: 8-Hour Varied Shifts (Weekends & Holidays Required)
Pay Rate: $51/Hourly
Mandatory Qualifications
- Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required by assignment start)
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Recent Long Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Med-Surg RN experience
- Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation
- Experience with Gastrostomy (G-Tube), Urinary Catheter, Wound Vac, Tracheostomy, CPAP, and Nebulizer care
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and care planning
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments
- Provide skilled Long Term Care (LTC) nursing services
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning
- Monitor and manage G-Tubes, urinary catheters, wound vacs, tracheostomies, CPAP, and nebulizer treatments
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Communicate patient status and clinical changes to physicians and nurse practitioners
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with nursing standards
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting resident safety and comfort
