Pay Rate: $68.00/hour - $75.00/hour
Shift Details: Nights | 36 hours/week | 12-hour shifts | 3 shifts/week
Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse provides coordinated nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with established standards and the nursing process. This role requires strong critical-thinking skills, the ability to manage ventilators, titratable drips, and care for high-acuity patients in a 3:1 ratio. The RN will also supervise assigned nursing staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safe and effective patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care using clinical judgment, established protocols, and the nursing process
- Manage ventilators, titratable drips, and Step-Down level patients
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Supervise and guide various levels of nursing staff as needed
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to safety and regulatory standards
- Float to units as required and adapt to changing patient care needs
Requirements:
- ICU, Step-Down, or Progressive Care experience — Required
- Cerner EMR experience — Required
- Ability to float as needed.
License & Certifications:
- Active RN License— Required
- BLS/CPR Certification— Required
- ACLS Certification— Required
