DETROIT, MICHIGAN - GRATIOT PLANT
- Perform daily invoicing and ensure data integrity including sales reconciliation to the general ledger
- Analyze customer payment vs billing discrepancies including retroactive adjustments
- Monitor cash collection and work with Shared Services/Commercial Account Manager for past due collection
- Track production volumes and analyze actual volumes relative to release schedules and plant forecasts
- Process month-end journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with tracking and implementation of capital assets
- Work with outside vendors/intercompany vendors on closing open balances and issuing payments
- Respond to external and internal audits by ensuring that all accounting transactions and controls conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Responsible for various ad hoc requests/projects for Division and plant personnel
- Highly visible plant with exposure to Finance leadership
- Opportunity to work in a new plant and grow plant finance function
- Opportunity to work with various levels of the organization (Division, Operations, Commercial, Systems)

- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Preferred 2 years of accounting experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Occasional extended work schedules assisting with financial reporting duties
- Proven Analytical, Communications and Organizational skills
- Must be able to communicate and work well with various departments
- High attention to details
- Experience with Hyperion HFM, Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Retrieve or Equivalent
- Kronos Experience
- Prior Automotive experience
- Experience with SAP or equivalent
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley and reporting requirements
