Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Physical Therapist Assistant at our Staten Island, NY location. In this role, you will assist in providing high-quality care to pediatric patients, help develop and implement rehab programs, and support the lead physical therapist in delivering tailored interventions. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, maintaining documentation, and offering compassionate, hands-on care to promote recovery and mobility. A commitment to patient well-being and collaboration with other professionals in a team-centered environment is vital.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Physical Therapy techniques and methods, including assisting in delivering tailored patient interventions
- Skills in Patient Care and a proven ability to provide compassionate, individualized treatment
- Understanding of Rehabilitation practices for improved mobility and function
- Experience or knowledge in Orthopedics and providing Quality Patient Care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with pediatric patients and their families
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of New York
- CPR certification is a plus
- Previous experience in pediatrics or similar settings is preferred but not required
