Job Type: Contract to Hire
Pay: $25 to $40 Per Hour BOE
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Traveling Commercial Carpenters to support ground-up and remodel construction projects within the quick-service restaurant (QSR) and fast-food sector. This role requires individuals who are comfortable working on the road, adapting to fast-paced project timelines, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship across multiple job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rough and finish carpentry on commercial construction projects, including fast-food and restaurant builds
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Install framing, drywall, doors, millwork, cabinetry, and fixtures
- Assist with layout, measurements, and material takeoffs
- Work alongside superintendents and other trades to meet project deadlines
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Travel to project sites across various regions as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of commercial carpentry experience (QSR or retail build-out experience preferred experience with steel stud/framing a HUGE plus)
- Experience with ground-up construction and/or interior remodels a plus
- Knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and methods
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (weekly travel required)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment & Requirements:
- Fast-paced commercial construction sites
- Physically demanding work (lifting, climbing, standing for long periods)
- Work may include nights, weekends, or overtime based on project schedules
- Frequent travel with overnight stays
