Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in Madison, AL. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes, the ability to troubleshoot electrical components, and the capability to work efficiently in a service-oriented capacity.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, transformers, and switches.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime for service-related projects.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repair.
• Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate specific wiring needs.
• Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety standards.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used on service calls.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical installations and service-based work.
• Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and a full set of hand tools.
• Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work independently or as part of a service team.
• Solid knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites within the Madison, AL area.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Must be aware of OSHA safety standards.
• Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be capable of working in inclement conditions including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.

Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
