Electrical Apprentice

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrical Apprentice in Beaumont, TX. The Electrical Apprentice will be responsible for pulling off and reinstalling electrical panels in a contract setting. The ideal candidate is a safety-oriented professional who is comfortable working in environments with potential shock and arc flash hazards while strictly adhering to personal protective equipment requirements.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35 to $40 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Carefully remove electrical panels to allow for inspection or maintenance work.
• Safely reinstall and secure electrical panels upon completion of tasks.
• Adhere to all safety protocols to mitigate shock hazards and arc flash risks.
• Utilize hand tools to perform mechanical tasks related to panel access and installation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure efficiency.
• Assist senior electrical personnel with various tasks as needed on-site.
• Inspect personal protective equipment daily to ensure it meets safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with the team regarding project progress and any identified hazards.
• Follow technical instructions and diagrams to ensure panels are properly aligned and installed.
• Ensure all fasteners and components are accounted for during the removal and reinstallation process.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working as an electrical apprentice or in a similar skilled trades role.
• Must possess and wear a hard hat and safety glasses meeting ANSI Z87.1 standards.
• Must have cut-resistant gloves suitable for working with sharp edges.
• Must wear long-sleeved shirts made of non-melting materials, such as cotton.
• Possession of EH-rated (Electrical Hazard) work boots is highly recommended.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and the risks associated with high-voltage equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a contract-based, industrial environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site in Beaumont, TX.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for the duration of a shift.
• Must have excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small components.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and industrial environments.
• Must be capable of wearing full personal protective equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to reach, pull, and push while working with electrical panels and hardware.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $35 to $40 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
