Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team and support children with diverse needs, including neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, and communication challenges. This role involves developing and implementing tailored treatment plans, collaborating with families and interdisciplinary teams, and promoting functional independence across various settings. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, clinical expertise, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for children and their families.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices for pediatric populations
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence
- Implement occupational therapy programs in home, school, outpatient, or clinic settings aligned with client goals
- Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and families to coordinate care and ensure holistic support
- Support discharge planning by preparing clients and caregivers for ongoing therapy needs or community integration
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to clinical standards and confidentiality regulations
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist with relevant pediatric specialization
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders, or disabilities in various settings such as Preschools, clinics, or daycare facilities
- Proven ability to develop effective treatment plans based on thorough assessments and client needs
- Strong communication skills for client interaction, family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management
