Position Summary:
As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling equipment in both residential and commercial environments. You will inspect systems for safety, efficiency, and effectiveness. Beyond the mechanical work, you will act as a trusted advisor, leading customers to informed and confident buying decisions by providing an extraordinary customer service experience.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Meet with customers directly in their homes or businesses to assess their unique comfort and HVAC needs.
Diagnose system issues and offer beneficial, honest solutions that look out for both the customer and the company.
Follow standard processes for cleaning, maintaining, tuning, and servicing HVAC systems.
Complete all sold repair and maintenance services safely, utilizing protective measures to ensure the customer’s home remains clean, undamaged, and respected.
Efficiently complete low-voltage connections on furnaces, air handlers, and air conditioners.
Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle with accurate inventory levels.
Complete digital documentation, record fees, and process payments seamlessly on your company-issued tablet/phone.
Job Requirements:
Experience: Proficient in cleaning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas, guide customers, and collaborate with management both verbally and in writing.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
License: Possess a valid driver’s license with a insurable driving record.
Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred (Not Required): Any air conditioning certifications, NATE certifications, or EPA universal licenses are highly valued!
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to operate mobile phones, tablets, and advanced field equipment daily.
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs repeatedly during working hours.
Ability to climb up and down ladders and step stools safely and repeatedly.
Ability to work comfortably in small, confined, or dark spaces (such as crawl spaces, attics, and basements).
Ability to work productively across a wide range of seasonal temperatures (both indoor and outdoor environments).
Ability to travel up to 75% of the workday between local job sites and customer locations.
