Childcare Worker/Assistant
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Childcare Worker/Assistant to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with children, takes initiative, and is confident working independently in a dedicated, exclusive-use childcare space. This position ensures a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment, assisting with daily activities, meals.
- Must genuinely like and enjoy working with children.
- Strong activity planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Patient, responsible, attentive, and dependable.
- Creative, energetic, and comfortable leading group activities.
- First aid and CPR certification is preferred or may be required.
- Must successfully complete any required background checks.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being
- Assist with daily activities and structured playtime
- Support children during mealtimes
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols
- Facilitate engaging and age-appropriate play opportunities
- Help with hygiene routines and cleanliness
- Diaper changes
- Outside time
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about creating meaningful experiences for children and capable of working independently in the dedicated childcare space. They will be proactive, organized, safety-conscious, and able to develop engaging activities.
We are an in-home daycare that has been operating for 21 years following the district 196 calendar. We are closed during the summer and school breaks.
Salary : $18 - $20
