What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Provider position at Leap Montessori?
Responsibilities:
Create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children feel comfortable and confident
Support children’s independence and growth through hands-on, age-appropriate activities
Help maintain a calm, consistent classroom routine that children can rely on
Actively supervise children throughout the day (play, meals, rest—always present and engaged)
Guide behavior in a positive, respectful way—modeling kindness, patience, and problem-solving
Communicate openly with families and work as a team with your coworkers
Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
Experience in childcare - babysitting or nannying also accepted
Someone who genuinely enjoys being around children and understands their different developmental stages
Strong communication skills with both children and adults
Patient, reliable, and able to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
CPR/First Aid is a plus (we’ll help you get certified if needed!)
