The Role
As an IT Field Support Technician, you are the face of Leap Managed IT. You will be on the front lines, solving complex technical issues and executing critical on-site projects—from network upgrades and site assessments to full workstation deployments.This is a full-time, hybrid role. You will balance your time between client sites (primarily in the Columbus and Scottsburg areas), working from home, and collaborating with the team.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- On-Site Project Execution: Lead the charge on workstation installs, firewall configurations, and networking upgrades.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve client network, workstation, and communication issues both remotely and in the field.
- Systems Monitoring: Monitor client alerts and implement fast, effective remediation.
- Clear Communication: Translate technical jargon into helpful solutions for end-users.
- Infrastructure Support: Manage account portals and handle physical hardware (ability to lift 50 lbs required).
Who You Are (The Ideal Candidate)
- Experienced: You have 3 years of IT Help Desk or similar computer and network support experience.
- Certified: You hold a CompTIA Network , Security , or similar industry certification.
- Customer-Centric: You have a proven track record of providing "concierge-level" service.
- Self-Driven: You are highly motivated and take the initiative to go above and beyond for clients and teammates.
- Problem Solver: You don't just fix symptoms; you find the root cause.
