About This Role

LEAP is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee and coordinate our range of leadership development programs and workshops. Reporting directly to the LEAP Program Manager, you will assist in the efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery and coordination of community and corporate leadership development programs, workshops, and events. Additionally, serves as an interface with the community, educational leaders, constituents, and trainers nationwide. Ensure all programs are delivered in an impactful, thought-provoking, and engaging manner that supports LEAP’s strategic goals and objectives.

To be successful in this position, you must have a drive to build up the API community and have the ability to seamlessly interact with and navigate various sectors, industries, and API communities, as well as multiple leadership levels. What You'll Do

  • Coordinate programs, workshops, and projects.
  • Support and attend LEAP training programs for diverse clients in both virtual and in-person formats.
  • Ensure timely, quality completion, and production of program and workshop materials and related program delivery needs.
  • Support in the implementation of culturally effective programs and services.
  • Interacts with LEAP staff to gain information about programs, coordination procedures and trainer preferences.
  • Schedules programs, workshops, and consulting services.
  • Assist in planning in-person events conferences pertaining to programs.
  • Strategically engaging alumni in program expansion efforts. 
  • Manage technical support for virtual and in-person trainers.
  • Continuously seek knowledge and gather data on Asian and Pacific Islander community needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Work with other staff as necessary and/or required. Assist with other duties as assigned.
  • Support standardized processes for delivery of the programs, workshops, and interventions to reduce staffing/resource waste and duplication of effort.


Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Performing work in this job’s occupational field typically requires knowledge and application of project management and coordination. 
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with clients, executives, and staff. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines are a must.
  • Must have strong familiarity with the Asian and Pacific Islander community, its issues, needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and strong relationships throughout the API community, the LEAP organization, and our clients. 
  • Possess confidence, flexibility, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Must be able to travel regularly (locally, nationally, and possibly internationally). Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends according to program delivery commitments, board meetings, and event-related scheduling.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Tungsten Power, Miro, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Mighty Networks, Salesforce, Asana, and Canva are a plus.


Other Information 

  • Full-time position is non-exempt, with an hourly rate of $24.
  • Must reside in Los Angeles County or Orange County, California, or willing to relocate.
  • Primarily a remote role, coordinators are expected to work in the office about 4 times a month when there is no in-person programming and more frequently when LEAP hosts in-person programming. In-office scheduling is subject to change per programming needs.
