Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for pediatric patients with diverse needs.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families about exercises and care plans to promote recovery and prevent further injury.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Uphold medical terminology standards while communicating effectively with healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential for effective patient care.
- Experience in outpatient pediatrics is preferred.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
- Previous experience in home health settings is a plus.
