Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Toolmaker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will "own" the tooling cell, track CNC mill, two Haas TL1 tool room lathes, surface grinder, etc. The toolmaker will use these tools as needed to support the development and production operations of LeanWerks.
Duties
- Repair and/or rework discrepant parts, repair damaged equipment or components.
- Production of work holding fixtures and production of customer jobs that get routed to the tooling cell.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by collaborating with NPI team on development of machining centric manufacturing processes for new parts/projects by assisting with fixture design and build.
- Support Production Operations as needed and when available, set-up and/or run production parts in the plant on our larger CNC equipment.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Mentor/Train other employees as needed and help teach them the fundamentals of machining.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.
