Project Manager / Estimator

Leander Construction, a Central Illinois general contractor, is seeking a skilled Project Manager /

Estimator to support both preconstruction planning and project execution. This role is ideal for a

construction professional who can accurately develop project costs while effectively managing work from

award through completion.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of commercial construction experience in project management and/or estimating

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred

• Working knowledge of construction cost controls and project delivery

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Assist with value engineering and scope review

Project Management

• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules

• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers

• Process change orders and maintain cost tracking

• Review and track submittals and shop drawings

• Serve as liaison between architects/engineers, owners, and field personnel

• Interpret and administer contract requirements

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating/project management software

• High attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
