Personal Assistant Caregiver
Location: Easley, SC
Job Type: Part Time
Schedule: Wednesday and Friday only from 2:30- 5:30pm
Pay: $15.50- $16.50 per hour
About the Role
Lean On Hearts LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Assistant Caregiver to support a young adult client in their home. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, structured, and experienced in providing care to autistic young adults. You will help promote independence, safety, and emotional well‑being while following individualized care plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility
- Monitor and report changes in behavior, mood, or health
- Administer medications according to care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a clean environment
- Document care provided and daily observations
- Provide emotional support, structure, and companionship
- Maintain a calm, patient, and supportive environment tailored to autistic young adults
Qualifications
- Required: Experience working with autistic young adults
- Experience in home care, assisted living, group homes, or disability support
- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Ability to perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe environment
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Physically able to assist with mobility and transfers safely
